Or... Yeah we want to kill the local dragon to save your miserable little life peasant
Intro
The lands of Faerun have undergone three wars between the gods. The most recent one was started when three demigods gathered together five gems of great power in order to attempt to ascend to godhood. During the attempt two of the conspirators were destroyed along with two other lesser gods were not only killed but totally destroyed and parts of their memory erased from history.
Go North!
The characters were called to the high priest of the temple of Auril who they have been working for, for some time. They were informed that the Eye of Neverwinter has been stolen from the keeper Vigarator for the god and she demands its return. They were told that Vigarator or Frost Breath Battle Crow was turned unconscious and the thieves stole the valuable gem. They would need to travel to the opposite side of the subcontinent. Tweak was in favour of killing a dragon and raising it from the dead. This would both gain a powerful servant and a way of fast travelling north.
Some research was done into the Eye and it was discovered that it was one of five Eyes of Power this one cut to a teardrop diamond. These were the stones that Auril used to gain her Deity status and are extremely powerful magical artefacts which appear to have some kind of sentience. The names of two of the other stones were also found, the Eye of Underdark and the Eye of Eternal Sun. Each eye represents one of the five elements of Ice, Fire, Earth, Air and Shadow and the Eye of Underdark and Eye of Neverwinter were last reported to be together. However the high priest did not mention it being stolen too.
After a quick foray to the wizards guild in order to see if teleportation would be an option they turned to the hunters guild in order to gain the direction to the nearest dragon. The hunters with the help of a charm spell gave specific instructions and a plan was hatched. The plan involved harpooning the dragon to the ground with ballista and having undead sheep explode in its stomach.
After a couple of days travel and a further five days of waiting patiently a large enough green dragon appeared an was quickly harpooned to the ground. Two sheep exploded in its stomach but didnt to seem to have any viable effect so Wilfire charged and layed into it with his battleaxe! Dispite significant damage from the dragons acid breath the party prevailed after raining damage spells and arrows but mainly the Minotaur giant axe layed the beast out. The cleric then spoke with dead in order to locate its lair. With it dead some repair work was done on the corpse including sealing its wounds and layering its flesh with oil of timelessness it was raised as a zombie.
With transport sorted the Party raided the dragons lair acquired its treasure and an egg.
